My Journey
Born in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, in 1979, I have lived in 6 different states: Colorado, Arizona, California, Washington, Texas, and New York. I spent the first 30 years of my life in Phoenix and Scottsdale, AZ, and now reside full time in New York City. In my professional life, I have been a finance executive, formulator and manufacturer of dietary supplements, fitness boot camp owner, small business bookkeeping and finance consultant, and a tech entrepreneur.

Shortly after being born in Wheat Ridge, CO, to my amazing parents, Steve and Wendy Jenkins, my family moved to the Phoenix-area. For most of my formative years (until I was about 18 years-old), we lived in Ahwatukee, a suburb of Phoenix. From 18 to about 30 years of age, my family lived primarily in Scottsdale, AZ, while I bounced around between there, Tucson, and Flagstaff, AZ.- My family has had 3 golden retrievers, each named Penny.
- I have 3 brothers: Ken, Ron, and Brad. I also have a pseudo-sister, Suraya. (My bff from college.)
- My maternal grandmother, Marilyn aka Gram aka The Vez (pictured on the left), has been my best friend since the day I was born.

College & Sports Life
In August 1998, I started my college life at Northern Arizona University (NAU) in Flagstaff, AZ. For a year prior to that, I played in a very small, semi-professional basketball league in the Phoenix area. From 2001-2003, I took a break from college to move to Tucson, AZ, to play golf. I achieved a +1 handicap, and played as an amateur in mini tour events in California and Nevada before hurting my back and returning to college to finish my Finance degree. In 2005, I graduated from NAU with a BSBA in Finance and a Minor in Corporate Financial Management.

Trying to Figure it All Out
For about 8 years after college, I bounced around in different professions, as well as moved out of AZ for the first time in my life. (Well, since my family moved to AZ when I was 3 months-old anyway.) My first job after college was the Controller of a small carpet cleaning equipment manufacturer and franchisor. I then became primarily a serial entrepreneur from then until now, with a stint as the Chief Financial Officer of a real estate conglomerate in Phoenix mixed in, which ended during the collapse of the mortgage industry in AZ in 2008. In my entrepreneurial life I have:- Formulated and manufactured dietary supplements, as well as owned a supplement retail store.
- Started and built, from the ground up, a group fitness boot camp in Dallas, TX.
- Been a small business bookkeeping and finance consultant, having specialized in QuickBooks consulting.
- Been a consultant to a boutique investment bank in New York, NY.
- Become a full-time web and software developer.

My Life in Technology
From a very early age, I have always been considered the tech "guy" in my family. I'm not sure why, but technology has just seemed to always make sense to me. In 2013 at the urging of my roommate in Brooklyn, NY, I delved into website design and development as a side hustle to try to make extra money. Having built the websites for a few of my previous ventures, he suggested that I do it for extra money and look at the Craigslist Computer Gigs section for ads looking for help building websites. That first night, I got my very first web development gig and I've been going at it ever since, having added full stack software development to my repertoire in the process!Website Development
